Send Encrypted Email
Encrypted email can be sent from your Outlook desktop application or the Outlook web application.
Using Outlook Web Application
- Login to the web version of Outlook. This can be reached by going to outlook.office.com.
- Create a new email by selecting the ‘New mail’ option from the ribbon, this should be the far-left button.
- With your new message open, select ‘Options’ from the top of your ribbon.
- From the Options menu, select ‘Encrypt’ and then ‘Encrypt’ again from the drop down.
- Your email is encrypted and can be sent when completed.
Using Outlook desktop application
- Start a new email:
- Go to the Options tab:
- Use to Permissions Tab and use the drop down:
- Select the Encrypt-Only:
- Continue to compose your email and you should see this message:
- Your email is encrypted and can be sent when completed.
