1. Pin the Calls App
You'll need to do this every time you set up or install teams on a new computer.
- Open Microsoft Teams.
- Click the ellipsis (…) on the left sidebar.
- Search for Calls and click to open.
- Right-click the Calls icon and select Pin to keep it on your sidebar.
2. Configure Call Settings
These steps only need to be done once, they will carry over everywhere you login to teams.
- Click your profile picture > Settings > Calls.
- Options available:
- Call forwarding: Forward calls to voicemail, another number, or a delegate.
- Ringtones: Choose custom tones for incoming calls.
- Delegates: Assign someone to make/receive calls on your behalf.
3. Set Up Voicemail & Greetings
These steps only need to be done once, they will carry over everywhere you login to teams.
- Go to Settings > Calls > Configure voicemail.
- Record a greeting:
- Click Record a greeting and follow prompts.
- Out-of-Office greeting:
- Under Manage voicemail, select Out-of-office greeting.
- Enter a custom message or use Text-to-Speech.
- Choose voicemail options:
- Let caller record a message.
- Play greeting and end the call.
- Play greeting then transfer to someone else.
4. Test Your Setup
- Go to Settings > Devices > Make a test call.
- Call your voicemail to confirm greetings.
