If you are a student who needs help using Canvas, there are a few quick questions to ask yourself that will guide you to the right place for support.
- Can you log in? If you go to my.spscc.edu, can you log in successfully using your ClipperID (SPSCC email)? If you can't, contact or visit the IT Help Desk in Building 22
- Can you see the right classes in Canvas? If you can log in but you don't see your classes there could be an enrollment issue. Again, the IT help desk can help figure out what is going on and get you on the right path.
- Can you see the right class but something still seems wrong? Sometimes things don't look the way you think they should or as your faculty has described it. If you want help navigating canvas or learning how to use it, the Learning Support Center East (LSS) in Building 22 can help you figure out Canvas use issues.
- I can do all that, but I need some training! LSS is your place for getting one-on-one support for Canvas Training. Their tutors can spend time with you ensuring you know how to use the tool and break down the technology barriers.
Important Note! If at any point you are having issues with Canvas, always contact your faculty to let them know about the issues. It is important that they know you are experiencing issues with the tool and can also give practical advice if it is specific to a task or assignment in Canvas.
The bottom line, Either the IT Help Desk or LSS (who are right next door to each other in building 22) can help you get up and running if you are having questions or problems!
